PROJECT OVERVIEW

Calling All Makers, Innovators & Rule Breakers

As we moved through the process of brand creation, we wanted to make sure we presented a visceral experience with the visual aesthetics and brand messaging we developed. It needed to be contemporary, relevant and progressive to connect to a culture of artists, makers and entrepreneurs looking for a dynamic rental solution. We are proud to be an essential part of this community of makers thriving in a city poised to make a difference.

A New Approach To Connecting The Mover & Shakers

We knew from the very beginning that we needed to take a different approach with getting the movers and shakers of the Des Moines art community to pay attention to what Breanne and Aaron Barnum were doing at The Barnum Factory. So we devised a plan to handpick 20 of the most influential players to receive a limited edition screen printed poster designed and packaged with inflections to the packaging particular to them and their business. We played to their interests and got 18/20 of them to show up to the party with a personal tour of The Barnum Factory to cap out the experience.

A Digital Door To The Maker Space

If you know anything about The Barnum Factory, you know that it isn't difficult to find inspiration from the space and what it can offer the maker class in Des Moines. Developing the graphic assets was the easy part. The difficulty resided in developing a functionality construct that could deliver the business model the Barnum's had in mind to promote rental of an unfinished 50,000 sq.ft. warehouse space. We had to hype the opportunity and invite interest and tours of the space through various CTA functionalities and the documentation of what the space could offer while it was still being built.
