PROJECT OVERVIEW

Finding Community In A Time Riddled With Uncertainty.

One of the communities hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Greater Des Moines Metro was the community of Valley Junction. At the center of the neighborhood exists a strip of commerce comprised of small businesses dependent on somebody walking through their door. As we all know, that all changed in March 2020. So when COVID-19 restrictions started to ease and the community started to feel comfortable celebrating again, this exhibition was one of the first ones scheduled to present a united front weaving community back together again.
